Why Sport Matters

A Healthy Body
Nurtures a Healthy Mind

At St. John's School, we firmly believe that sports and physical education are integral to school life — not an afterthought. The skills developed on the field — discipline, teamwork, resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship — are exactly the qualities that shape outstanding human beings and carry students far beyond any examination.

Every student at St. John's participates in physical education as part of the regular school curriculum, and our sports programme ensures that whether a student is a natural athlete or a first-time player, they find a sport they love and a team they belong to.

"Sport teaches lessons that no classroom can. At St. John's, the field is as important as the classroom — and the trophies we value most are the ones won by character."
