About the Library

A Sanctuary for
Learners & Dreamers

The library of St. John's School is a sanctuary for learners and dreamers alike. With a collection spanning textbooks, reference books, storybooks, encyclopedias, magazines, and newspapers, our library encourages a love of reading that goes far beyond the curriculum — and a habit of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Every student at St. John's is encouraged to make the library a regular part of their school life — not just for academic research, but for the simple, irreplaceable joy of getting lost in a good book.

Library Rules

Using the Library

The library is a shared, sacred space — and we ask all students to respect it fully. Our library rules exist to protect the books, preserve the peaceful environment, and ensure every student can enjoy the library equally.

  • Maintain complete silence in the library at all times
  • Handle all books with care — no folding, writing in, or tearing of pages
  • Return borrowed books on time — late returns attract a fine of Re. 1/- per day
  • Only students with a valid library card may borrow books
  • No food or drink is allowed inside the library at any time
  • Lost books must be replaced with a new copy at the student's expense
